The property has been expertly cleared, graded, and deep-ripped to promote healthy root development. Irrigation mains and laterals were installed to NRCS specifications, with a drip system in place and designed for future expansion as the orchard matures. Planted to young Golden Hills variety pistachio trees and managed with regular irrigation and nutrient programs, the orchard is well-positioned for steady growth and future yields. The favorable elevation of 3,773 feet, long frost-free growing season, and abundant sunshine combine to create an optimal environment for pistachios. Conveniently located near Interstate 10, with access to nearby Arizona and New Mexico communities.
A 12-inch irrigation well was drilled to 1,000 feet in 2018. Stated water production capacity is 1,000 gallons per minute. The well is currently equipped with an 8-inch submersible pump producing 625 gallons per minute from 350 feet. Irrigation main and submain lines are installed according to NRCS standards. Currently, trees are irrigated by a single above ground drip line. A second drip line is available to meet higher evapotranspiration as trees mature to production.
All trees are Golden Hills Variety on UCB1 root stock. Fifty acres are in third leaf and 110 acres are second leaf. Presently under professional management which is available to continue.
