The Ladron Mountain ranch consists of +/-2663 deeded acres, +/-1917 acres of State Lease land, and +/-24,582 acres of BLM for a total of +/-29,162 acres. This is a solid, working cattle ranch that lies west of the small town of Bernado, NM and flows into the foothills of the Ladrons. It is one of the few ranches close to Albuquerque, NM, which lies approximately 57 miles to the south. The topography ranges from flat land to rolling hills with canyons and peaks along the base of the mountain. Good access roads make traveling around the ranch easy. The ranch headquarters is nestled in a scenic draw against the base of the Ladrons and the house is a 3 bedroom/2 bath manufactured home surrounded by flowers, fruit trees, and a nice, raised garden and is powered by solar panels with a back-up generator. The metal working pens include a nice sized loafing shed, a crowding pen, squeeze chute, and calf table. The country has a good mix of high desert grass and browse. Wildlife includes mule deer, elk, Rocky Mountain sheep, quail, doves, and some occasional ducks.
